Tom Hall is the writer of the weekly Ask Tom feature in The Guardian’s onlinetravel section, and also contributes to a host of other magazines and newspapers in the UK, Ireland and Europe.

Tom is a regular commentator on travel news and events in the media, including BBC Breakfast, gm.tv, Radio One, Sky News, CNN and Six Music. He is the author of Lonely Planet’s Best Ever Travel Tips. Tom is an experienced interviewee, a sought-after public speaker, event host and expert contributor.

He was voted Online Travel Journalist of the Year at the 2010 Travel Press Awards. When not donning cape and cowl he is Editorial Director at Lonely Planet’s award-winning website.

Tom is also a good person to talk to if you’re looking for a local expert for a bespoke walk around London or if you’re looking for some media training or consultancy on all things to do with travel.
